Let’s not forget weightlifting. It is one of the essential elements that will help you improve your game. Not only will it add muscle to your body and increase your strength, it will also help you to increase your maximum power. Maximum power differs in importance to strength due to the fact that it is exertion during play and not just muscle mass. Strong and powerful execution will enable fast plays, quick action, and recognition on the field. Weight lifting can cause injuries, and as such we highly recommend having a professional coach on hand during weightlifting sessions. You trainer will also help you accomplish your weightlifting goals and teach you new techniques.
Ball handling Drill: “Hot potato”
Ball handling is one of the most vital skills that a player can have on the field, and this drill’s goal is to help players get a better feel and control for the football. In this drill players will be constantly moving or passing the ball from one hand to the other. The drill starts by having players hold the football above their head and start to pass it around their head, moving to the chest, under the arms, around the waist, knees, and completing with passing it through the legs.
The best thing that a coach can do is call out body parts that the players will have to move the ball around, or even calling a reverse command were the players will need to change the direction of the football. The reverse option is an important command as it will keep the players on their toes and focuses on concentration and ball handling.
When the coach calls and end to the drill the players will drop the ball several times (at least 7). For example, the player drops the ball and retrieves it quickly. It will also help to change the hand that the player’s uses to pick up the ball to ensure both hands are learning this technique.
Steps to effectively block driving
Simple drives are important for linemen to practice and perfect. The most traditional or basic block is a drive block. When you want to remove an opponent effectively you will use the drive block again and again. ed, so if they are aligned to the right the drive will push them to the right. When driving start with your play side foot. Move quickly and in a speed bursting motion, make solid contact with your opponent to drive them off in the direction that you want.
Catching the ball high
Because not all throws are perfect you will need to practice making catches that are high or low. Here are some simple steps when making a high catch: The first and most important is that you extend your arms and keep your hands together in a diamond type shape to catch that football. When you have your hands extended you are performing a proper catch, remember, and don’t ever catch it with your body. Once you have your hands around the ball, don’t take your eyes off the ball but follow it right into your tuck.

The Importance of Doing Sports
We read that Hopi Native Americans felt the responsibility of holding the world in balance. But how could this be accomplished, or was it just a myth?
We have a great deal of power to affect the world around us. The Hopi were given a very real job to do, a very real responsibility to humanity, to Mother Earth, and to all of creation.
Hopi had power. They generated it from within. For one thing, they apparently had feminine and masculine energies in balance. They used both the right and left sides of their brain in balance. This meant that they were intuitive and could communicate with the plant world, as well as the animals and the winged creatures. They were logical and knew how to survive on the land, living in harmony with the earth and the heavens. They connected with Spirit. Life was good.
We each have the potential to live in this state of balance. The key to moving into this wonderful state of being is to move out of living in the fear mode, and move into living in the mode of love.
Unconditional love has the tremendous power to heal as we move into a wonderful place of balance. And it is awesome that each one of us has the potential to accomplish this. We can do this. All we have to do is choose. And the choice we make will determine the world around us. We create our own world by the energy we generate, be it an energy of fear, or an energy of love.
God is love.
